Known among many as Love temple, the place is popular for singles seeking partners. Originally, the temple, whose name literally means "Temple of the Calm Sea", was the first stop for Chinese immigrants to Singapore in the early 19th century.
A peaceful and clean Temple located in the busy city area. Weekend is a very quiet place.
Attentive and helpful people who will guide you throughout the place if you're offering incense, free incense too. Architecture looks extremely historical, worth visiting, highly recommend.

Amazing management for historical and cultural landscape in the center the Singapore City. A remarkable landscape is preserved tremendously awesome.
Been going to this place since I'm a pre school kids .... 40+ year.
Always find peace whenever I visit. A beautiful historic architecture. Well maintain and got even better after Ngee Ann took over the managenent.
Was a bit crowded as it was 妈祖旦 when I visited. They put up a opera staging for the celebration.
Wonderfully serene experience in the Central Business District. Intricate roof designs, hard to imagine the amount of work that goes into it during construction. That era with that level of finishing. Best to visit early in the morning.
Good Energy, peaceful and nice place. 🙏🏻✨✨
A very beautifully constructed temple. A perfect example of the traditional style in the southeast coast of China. The details of the relief sculpture and the paintings on the doors are simply fascinating.
